The homeowners at this Los Angeles home wanted to create a water-conserving landscape, but still incorporate elements of traditional European gardens. By using gravel and pavers to cover much of the area instead of sod, they were able to reduce their water usage by up to 70%. Ornamental and meadow grasses add lushness to the landscape, while boxwood and rose bushes lend a formal, elegant touch to the garden.
